The Shillong International Film Festival (SIFF) marks a significant cultural milestone for the state of Meghalaya, as the first edition of the festival is organised by the Directorate of Information and Public Relations, Government of Meghalaya in collaboration with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India and National Film Development Corporation of India. Conceived as a celebration of cinema and storytelling, the festival seeks to position Shillong as a vibrant meeting ground for filmmakers, artists, students, and audiences from across the region and beyond.
